Main trees of the VERDE project have been planted at Skanste
The first three of the main trees of “VERDE”, the greenest office complex in Riga, have been planted on the building’s spacious fifth-floor terrace during the small-scale presentation of the first stage of the “VERDE” project, located at Skanste, the intersection of Skanste and Hanza Streets in Riga. The topping-out of the first “VERDE” building will be celebrated already this year, while its construction is scheduled for completion in June 2022. The 30,000 m2 large “VERDE” offices will provide a modern, energy-efficient, and green environment for productive work to more than 3,000 people. It is planned to invest over EUR 65 million the development of “VERDE”.
Vice Mayor Ķirsis: Skanste has the potential to become a business hub
On October 6, 2021, Riga Vice Mayor Vilnis Ķirsis visited the Skanste neighborhood, including the VERDE construction site, to learn about the progress of development projects and plans, hear developers’ proposals for further cooperation with the city’s government, as well as to inspect in person several office buildings currently under construction. During the visit, representatives of the Skanste Development Agency informed about the neighborhood’s latest projects, assessed progress of the Skanste revitalization project implemented by Riga City Council, as well as informed about the investments that have been made or are being planned to develop Skanste as Riga’s modern center.
Construction of VERDE is seeing fast progress
Construction of the first building of Riga’s greenest office centre VERDE, located on the crossing of Skanstes Street and Hanzas Street, is conducted in line with the schedule and will be completed in June 2022. Half of the construction works have been completed – the underground car park, frame construction for five of the 11 floors, works on the first-floor facade and engineering works have been started, while the rest of the building is being built. At the same time, there is active work in progress with potential tenants, allowing them to follow the construction process.
