Facade works on the VERDE’s first floor are being completed

At the VERDE construction site, another large-scale change can be observed — almost an entire floor is decorated with impressive facade elements. A total of 766 facade elements will be installed and the smooth start of assembly work indicates that the building body will be completed without any obstacles. The high-energy-efficient glass facade solution is an important sustainability aspect of VERDE. With lamella blinds is developed to minimise the effects of overheating and, thus, optimising the energy to cool down the internal environment.

"This is the first project where three lamellas of the facade with different geometric cross-sections have been designed and will be mounted on steel brackets with different angles of inclination," comments partner of VERDE Glasma Service, who has been entrusted with the design, production, and installation of the facade.

The first stage of construction work - commissioning of VERDE first building - is expected to be completed in June 2022, while the complex should be fully completed in 2023. After that VERDE will be one of the largest office complexes in the Latvian capital.

VERDE will be the greenest A-class office complex at the Skanstes area in Riga, the place opposite the Latvian Fire Fighting Museum, where Skanstes Streets intersects with Hanza Street, and the only A-class office complex the first stage of which will be opened in the first half of 2022. The VERDE office complex comprises two office buildings with a total leasable area of 30 000 m2. VERDE has been developed in line with BREEAM Excellent and the nZEB (nearly Zero Energy Building) standards. VERDE has been named second most-sustainable project in the competition “Sustainability in Architecture, Construction and Design 2020”.
