Eleven new electric car charging points opened at office complex Verde; investments reach EUR 120,000
Greener environment and fresher air – these are the main reasons why Riga’s greenest office complex Verde has implemented a new investment project in order to significantly develop infrastructure of electric mobility. As a result, 11 new Enefit Volt electric car charging points with a possibility to charge 16 cars simultaneously have been installed in the underground parking lot of Verde in cooperation with Enefit energy company. The overall investments by both parties reach EUR 120,000.
Martins Vancans, the board chairman of Enefit energy company: “Verde is the first office complex in Latvia where Enefit Volt charging points are available, offering an opportunity to charge such a large number of cars with green electricity. We have started development of electric car charging infrastructure in the business sector with Verde because it is also houses the Enefit office. We wish to offer convenient and accessible electric car charging not only to our employees, but also to customers, all tenants and visitors of the office complex.”
Since June, Verde offers 11 Enefit Volt electric car charging points that run on 100 percent renewable energy. There are six charging points in the parking lot of Building A and 5 charging points in the underground parking of Building B. Each charging point is equipped with 22kW charging device that provides charging for up for 100 km drive in one hour. All charging points are publicly available for every electric car owner who works or visits the Verde complex. In a year, the Enefit Volt charging infrastructure will help to save more than 30 tons of CO2 emissions (calculation based on AIB data).
Users may pay for charging with Enefit Volt application. The payment is calculated based on the amount of kW used during charging. Verde tenants may use an opportunity to pay later for the service.

The current e-mobility infrastructure of office complex Verde has increased to 20 electric car parking spots with a charging option – four charging points are provided by Eleport (in the yard) and 16 by Enefit (six points at the parking lot on Ground 0 of Building A, and ten at the parking lot on Ground 1 of Building B). However, in the future, as soon as the demand of Verde visitors for this sustainable service exceeds the current offer, it will be increased to 54 electric car charging points, and Enefit has already conducted the necessary technical preparations for that in both buildings of the complex.
