Verde Celebrates Topping-Out of Building C
Today, on September 3, Verde – Latvia’s greenest office district – celebrated the topping out of Building C. Ahead of schedule, the building has reached its full height of six floors, with roofing and facade works completed and interior works underway. To mark the milestone, a traditional topping-out ceremony was held, raising the ceremonial wreath to the rooftop.
Construction of Building C has begun in September 2025, and it has progressed faster than expected both in terms of construction and market demand. More than one-third of the Building C spaces have already been reserved, and interest from potential tenants and investors continues to grow. The total leasable area of the Building C will be 8,500 m².
“Verde’s second phase has progressed rapidly, and today we are marking an important milestone – the topping out of Building C. The exceptionally high demand from tenants and strong interest from investors for Building C, as well as Building D, is proof that Verde has become a true landmark for Riga and Latvia and leader in commercial real estate, distinguished by both its unique concept and its scale. It’s achieved thanks to the outstanding work of everyone involved in the development,” says Andrius Barštys, CEO of Capitalica Asset Management.
Alongside construction, work on the surroundings of the new Verde buildings is also progressing. Landscaping and greenery works are scheduled to start in mid-September, while restoration of heritage elements is underway, including a historic wooden railway guardhouse that will be installed on the roof of Building C.
Building C has been developed with next-level sustainability at its core, further strengthening Verde’s position as Riga’s greenest and most sustainable office complex. Along with the upcoming Building D, it has already been awarded a BREEAM Outstanding interim certificate at the design stage confirming top-tier environmental performance ahead of the final certification following post-construction assessment.
The architectural design of Verde Building C is developed by ARHIS ARHITEKTI in collaboration with the architectural firm Around. Construction, commissioned by developer Capitalica Asset Management, is being carried out by group company Capitalica Industries as general contractor.
Building C is planned to be completed in Spring 2027, followed by Building D at the end of 2027. Once all development phases are completed, Verde will offer more than 50,000 m² of A-class office space in Riga’s Skanste business district, providing a working environment for approximately 5,500 employees. The total value of the business district will reach approximately EUR 200 million.
